Get answers to common questions about Half Leg Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth legs for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth rate and hormonal factors. Regular waxing can gradually reduce regrowth. Touch-ups every 4–6 weeks maintain smoothness and extend the benefits of treatment.
Waxing removes hair from the root, so you may experience temporary redness or tenderness for a day or two. Compared with shaving, waxing avoids razor burn and stubble; proper aftercare and exfoliation reduce irritation and ingrown hairs.
Trim or allow hair to be about ¼ inch long for best results. Avoid heavy exfoliation, tanning, or retinoids 48–72 hours before your appointment. Arrive clean and refrain from applying lotions or oils so wax adheres properly.
Yes—many clients with sensitive or thin skin can have a Half Leg Wax. We use gentle formulas and offer a patch test during your consultation. Communicate concerns so we can adjust technique and recommend soothing aftercare to minimize irritation.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, strenuous exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid heavy exfoliation for a few days. Use sunscreen on newly waxed skin and wear loose clothing to prevent irritation.
Topical retinoids and some acne medications can make skin more fragile and prone to tearing. Discontinue retinoids at least 7–14 days before waxing and inform our technician. If unsure, consult your dermatologist before scheduling.
